Vibration Testing Fundamentals

This course provides a practical introduction to vibration testing. While basic vibration theory is reviewed for enhancement of conceptual understanding, focus is on leading the practicing engineer or technician to clearly grasp the types of vibration that can be imparted to a product, sources of vibration requirements, available vibration test equipment, and correct interpretation of data.

This course presents the concept of HALT/HASS. Learn the basic philosophy of exposing potential design defects through testing and applying techniques to various applications. This course is taught using the information presented in IEST-RP-PR003.1: HALT and HASS and will help to clarify questions with respect to this document.
